As talked about in the craigslist find post a few below, I found ended up buying the pair, with the 60 inch ribbon upgrade. I got them home, listening to them, sounding great, turned it on up but not nearly all the way up, all of a sudden it drops out, all Ive got is extremely low sound from the speakers, mostly the bottom end. The fuses in the speakers are 250volt Slow Blows, Is it possible they went partially? Never dealt with slow blow fuses before. Anyone have any other thoughts on what to try and look at?

A fuse is either good or blown, there is no in between.

Also we drove them pretty damn hard at his house before I purchased them. Already hooked the amp to different speakers, the amp is working fine.

This guy is bad news folks. A while back he tried to rip off a member of another forum over an amp he listed on eBay, an amp he never had.

I can't take all the credit on this one Greg, there was another upstanding member involved.

BTW, I know exactly what is wrong with his speakers, but I'm not telling.

    Karma is a bit(h, ain't it muffin!?!

Gotcha Jesse. Thanks to you both for pointing out those that would try to spread their "evil" here. Whether it's a muffin, trying to dupe people for an amp, or anything else.

Well this is a bit awkward to wake up to. I remember the incident your talking about almost seven years ago I believe, I told your friend Tom to give the guy my number, and even address and to call me so I could try to sort it out and help him get his money back. However it was not me that took his money, as both ebay and paypal confirmed. Thats really all I can say about it, both entities decided I was not the one who took the guys money and I offered to help in any way I could yet no one ever bothered to call.

Muffin, I owe you an apology. You were not banned on this forum, you were banned on another forum as a direct result of your attempted eBay rip off.

Man, no need to apologize, as I said, that was years and years ago, as far as I know I am welcome most anywhere, and I stress again, I asked the members you know in real life, at that time, to pass my contact info, including my address a long to the guy if I could help sort it out. No one ever called.

Jeremy, years passing by do not excuse the facts. The beauty of these forums is that everything is documented. Care to recant your latest statement or are the lies gonna keep flowing? I also know what's wrong with your speaker but my lips are sealed. It's an easy fix too. Kharma IS a ****, ain't it?

Should have thought about about that way back when......and BTW, you are not going to sell anything here on this forum. Mark my word.

Dude, no lies are flowing. I stood in your listening room and told you to give the guy, I cant for the life of me remember his name, my number and address, he never once called me. I certainly know you had my number and address. Also I got the speakers diagnosed today, and have nothing for sale on the forum, nor do I intend to. I would appreciate it if you could chill out.

$50 for a pair of speaks that blow up when you use them? Not a good deal at all.
