Need some advice an re-arranging my setup
Right now my HT consists of RT55 fronts and rears, CS400 center and a pair of RT7s for front presence speakers (Yamaha DSP).
I have another set of RT7s in a 2.1 setup in my exercise room with my old 720p projector for when I use the treadmill.
I'm going to be remodeling the exercise room and would like to move it to a 5.1 setup. I'm thinking I'd take the RT7s from the main theater so I could have four of them in the exercise room and then add a CS400 or LS350. Which one would mate better with the RT7s or would is six of one half dozen of another?
Then I need to replace the presence speakers in the main room. I have searched high and low to find what kind of frequencies are coming out of them them with no luck. Since I run everything as small, I was thinking that a pair of RT35s would work, then I noticed they have a different tweeter. I have thought about the RT35i but they have a different woofer and cross-overs. Maybe these speakers don't need to match that closely, but I'm obsessive enough that I'm afraid it would bug me. I have even thought of getting a pair of RT35s and replacing the tweeters but I don't know if the cross-overs are the same as the RT55s. I guess I could go really crazy and get a third pair of RT55s but that seems like overkill.
Anybody have any suggestions? It would be much appreciated!
Brad
