Guys,As you know lately I've been doing some mods w/ some great success.I added some Belden I/Cs from BJC, got a new Grado cart, added spikes to the 2Bs and the only thing I can do besides x-overs is speaker cable, maybe. Right now I have 12gu red/clear no name stuff that does the job. Yesterday I see a C/L ad for 20' of 10 gu. Belden white speaker wire for $35. I mailed the guy and asked if there was wiggle room and how old and were they ever used. He mailed back and says yes make me an offer, it is just extra from him doing his H/T and not old or used. Now it's up the Parkway w/ gas and tolls involved. Here's the rub.i go to the Blue Jeans site and look up 10 gu speaker wire and for 20' it's about $19 and + shipping. Now depending how low the guy goes do I drive for the cable or just order it new.He is also offering spades which I do not need.
The offer I made was for $15 and left my # and if he calls I'll tell about the new stuff I can get delivered to my door.Is this wire good enough even to be bothering with.
