Thought i'd check in to see if there's any word on Polk updating their i-Sonic radio anytime soon since i'm in the market for something of that type of device.

I've looked at and held the iHome devices. They have a lot of great features like the current lightning dock for your Apple devices. I like the alarm clock feature as well as the clock itself syncing it's time when your Apple device is plugged in. I can't bring myself to buy one of these though since they're made out of cheap feeling plastic. Really, it just feels too cheap! The speakers leave a lot to be desired as well. I'm not expecting the world from a clock radio, but it can be a lot better. No way i'm spending $350 on a <cough cough> Bose Wave Radio, only to have to spend an additional $100 for an Apple device doc. WTF, $450!

Come on Polk, ya gotta come through here! If you do manage to update it, make sure the lightning adaptor does NOT sit inside a slot made for only the current iPhone size and smaller devices like the iPod. You know Apple is developing a larger size iPhone.

Honestly, in a near perfect world, a scaled down Woodbourne or modified Woodbourne with alarm clock would be perfect! Love my current Woodbourne and the Airplay feature.

Hmm, maybe I should just get another Woodbourne for the bedroom and buy a new alarm clock!
No excuses!

My understanding is the ISonic was very problematic, I don't know if they fixed those issues or not.
