Up for sale, McIntosh MA6900 integrated amplifier. This is a solid, heavy unit and well built. 200wpc, 2,4,8 ohm taps on the back with autoformers! I am a sucker for a VU! I also loved having an EQ built in for bad recordings. A tweak here and there and the badly masted cd or lp sounded much better.

One small issue with it but, I am told this is common to a lot of McIntosh units. The vu's at low volume when first turned on sometimes both wont move till you hit the volume quick and turn it back down. On 2 different boards, people have said they have the same issue with their McIntosh preamp or amps and its nothing to worry about including one that said his newer C2300 preamp does the same thing. I have had 0 issues other then the quirk. I do have the original shipping box. It cost 98$ to have it shipped to me. I will only charge actual shipping. I believe the box is about 85 lbs or so. If you havent seen McIntosh boxing, its fantastic. The unit gets bolted to a board, then put in a inner box with foam, then it goes into an outerbox with more foam.

Why am I selling it? 2 reasons. 1 I missed tubes for a preamp. I hooked up my arcsp16 to the amp in on this unit and went between the internal preamp and the arc. I found the internal preamp was more accurate, faster vs the arc, and sounded wonderful but, I think I have just graccustomedomed to tubes. I did however put a yaqin between the pre in and out with outstanding results but, 2 I bought a McIntosh MC402. I do not have room for both units since my den is small. Nor do I have the room for a 3rd system in the house.

I am listing this at work. They block picture storage sites. I will post a pic soon.
