I happened to stumble upon a pair of 7C's today and got it for $60.
It sounded okay but had one tweeter dome pushed in.
When I set them up at home, I noticed that tweeter is not sounding right.
Treble is there but it's not smooth and little off compared to the other good one.
I looked closer and saw whatever pushed the dome, it caused a small portion of that copper vc to come up slightly out.
I tried to push it in the gap but it's no use.
I guess time to replace?

I don't want to spend $100 for RDO on these so hunting time in the epay for single SL-2000.

Klipsch RB81, KG3.5, B&W DM602.5, Polk.
Subwoofers: Klipsch RW10, Triad ProSub Bronze.

I'm assuming that BOTH tweets are bad (otherwise it wouldn't be $100). The fact is, you can buy a couple of SL-2000's (used) for $50+ or a couple of RDO-194's (new) for $100 AND they would sound better.
    Your choice!

    Larry,
Great to meet you finally and thanks for the generosity.

He didn't even take my money for the tweeter. icon14.png
It turns out my new house is just few hundred yards from him.
We are neighborino like in Simpsons.
If he turns his 1.2TL's little high, I don't need to buy to enjoy them.

Anywho, 7C's work great but one side is significantly louder than the other so need to check what's going on.
Here is my temporary setup in basement.

If you're already swapped L/R on the amp, it's time to take that cross-over out for a closer examination. Whatever damaged the bad tweet may have originated further upstream...

I'm as dumb as a rock.
I had right side speaker out of 'B' set to a subwoofer and it was changing the volume of the right 7C since left out was not used.

    All good now.
