Internet radio suggestions

My sister would like a table top internet radio for use in her living room and pool area. She hates the wires and antenna
connection with her present FM radio receiver. She is also in a very poor location for FM reception with interference from other
stations. The internet radio needs to have an internal amplifier and speakers and RCA out put jacks for connecting to the pool are amplifier and speakers.

She doesn't play music load in the home and will use the pool amplifier for sound there.

I have looked at Cambridge Sound Works and like their stuff. But they have many models. Any recommendations?

Also what other manufacturers make a quality internet table radio with speakers and RCA output jacks.

Thanks for any advice.

Peter

Since you didn't mention budget, I'll have to say I highly recommend the Sonos Music System. The world would become her oyster for internet radio & music. It's simply astonishing how this system transforms your world of music. She can also keep her pool amp & speakers & also add a Play:1, Play:3, or Play:5 speaker. Those speakers have built in amps & can be used to bring her internet radio & music to every room in the house & anywhere outside. http://www.sonos.com/system

I'll second the Sonos suggestion. Have 2 myself and love 'em. She'll be able to play any radio station from around the globe, her own music files, or subscribe to a music service for 10 bucks a month and have access to around 12 million songs. She can make her own playlists, save favorites, and use different zones to play different music or combine zones. Slickest software out there right now.

Thanks for your suggestions. I have heard many good things about the Sonos equipment.

What model with amp and speakers would you recommend? There are many options. I find the site confusing but I'm not very good with computers.

My sister at this point can't afford to add sound to many rooms. She just wants a table radio for the living room that gets internet
radio. Having options like Pandora is a nice option also.

If she is a I-phone user, or has an I-pod have her get a Polk sound dock, or another competitors sound dock. The Wife watches Opra and has a Bose sound dock in the laundry room it don't sound to bad, I told her to just turn up the 2 channel a bit, but she wanted a sound dock, I even let her park in the garage so her parking is validated. :)

That's the beauty of the Sonos, you don't need a speaker for every room...you simply use the speaker you have: PLAY:1,3 or 5 & take it all over the house & outside. You can eventually add a speaker to every room but it's not a necessity. I have the PLAY:5 that I have in the dining room but move it to the upper pool deck for music & also out in the yard when I'm working. I have 2 Polk Atrium speakers on the bottom deck so I picked up the ZP-120 which has an amplifier built in which drives them nicely. I believe the bridge is all you would need plus one of their speakers of your choice. Pandora is only one of many services that are partnered with Sonos. The music selection that will be at her fingertips will be mind boggling to your sister. Give them a call they are great to deal with & will tell you exactly what you need. And it's so simple to set up you won't have any problem at all.

You can even find the play 3 or play 5 fairly cheap on your local craigslist.
