Get him Tony, set him straight!!

We've got a few high end's in Seattle, but man are they super snobby. If you're not bringing home at least 90 to 100K, they don't even see you. A guy like me working a middle class salary running the RTiA series with low budget emo amps is merely a vapor in that world.

yeah, it didn't take me long growing up there to figure out that Magnolia Hi-Fi and Speakerlab would probably always be my price points.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

The only thing I have found anywhere near me is Upstairs Audio in Columbia, SC. I suspect there are some in Charlotte, NC but haven't looked yet. I'd love to go in an audio store besides Best Buy to look at the modern stuff out there.

    The world's most expensive TIE!

Necktie by Satya Paul – $223,000

Still looking to add more flash and bling to your ourfit? Then this quarter million dollar necktie will be perfect. Designer Satya Paul created this lavish tie from silk and white gold yarns, and decorated it with 261 diamonds (77 carat in weight). After finding this tie, I thought about what tie knot would suit it best, but couldn’t decide on one. Regardless of the price, I find this the most tacky piece on this “most expensive wardrobe”.

Let me see if I get this straight.

You buy and sell tons of gear, spending big bucks and losing big bucks at times.
Wife puts the hammer down, limiting your obsessions
Your anniversary...you make rubber pasta in jarred sauce for the lady

Now, you go back to spending big bucks and come home with another piece of audio bling ?

Today was the first time I heard a system with all the acoustic treatments and holy crap does that make a diff. There was nothing bouncing back from behind the speakers and its was just the blackest black background you could imagine. The owner asked if I wanted to join the loal audiophile club. A bunch of people get together at the store and in their homes and demo new products that come in and th have wine and cheese and bring their wifes. It sounds like a bunch of rich guys and as he Noah was telling me all about the people that attend like what they buy at the store and cars they drive etc..
Definitely look into going to a meeting or two and seeing if you want to join up. We have one here, HAS (Houston Audio Society) that meets every month usually at someone's home,at a high end audio store, at Fry's Electronics, etc... It gets changed up every month . Lots of great audiophiles who truly love their gear and want to learn more about equipment and how to use what they've got. We even had a meeting on acoustic treatments etc... Enjoy!
