This is the tube in my sonic frontiers sfl1 pre.
Im experiencing some pretty noticable tube hiss, besides i kinda want to roll tube.
I know nothing about the different propertys of diff. manufacturers tubes, just want to make sure its the same model, and not cause any problems with the pre.

Ei's are Yugoslavian made on old Telefunken equipment in the 80's. There is no "improvement" model. QC was pretty poor on all Ei signal tubes so many of them are noisy/micro-phonic or can become so. The good ones sound very decent, but nothing like the real Telefunken. Not necessarily in a bad way, just not like a true Telefunken.

you are dead on heiney, george, in all his generosity, provided an assortment of tubes, each with their own attributes, the ones he said would best the others, of course did.
Along with the new speaker cables just in today have made a gigantic, unbelievable difference diff in sound quality.
