I have been having fun with the Parasound amp that I bought off Rick Romeo a while back. About a month ago it developed a problem where the protect relay would get sluggish about switching. It would buzz then click into position and the stand-by light would stay red even though the amp was working. I traced it down the the relay driver circuit. The tech at Parasound told me to replace a certain capacitor and all was good. Funny thing was that the cap measured good.

Anyway, I decided to re-cap the amp. There were a few that were out of spec. I picked up some Nichicon caps from PartsconneXion, using the FG and KZ in the signal paths. I am just about done but want to do the 18000uF power supply caps and the bypass caps across them. What is the capacitor of choice these days?

Thanks
