In the flea market
Can you post a sticky at the top that is like the "The Rules Of Selling."
IE:
1) Must have a picture!
2) Location
3) DESCRIPTION
4) PRICE
5) Contact Information
No more of these 1 liners....
Just a thought

I don't think ALL those are always needed, if I have an Adcom 545 to sell, you know what it looks like Sid.
One thing I keep swaying back and forth on, is whether or not someone should be a member for a certain amount of time, and / or have a certain number of posts before being able to *start* a thread in the flea market.
Not that there aren't some good newbies, or guys with low-post counts - there are. In this day and age, with all the con-artists and thieves running rampant - it makes it tough to trust someone who has JUST shown up.
That brings up 2 other points, if you ARE a newbie, and a senior member can vouch for you - have them do it! Example, if George Grand tells me 'new member x' is a stand up dude - I'd feel totally comfortable with moving forward on a deal with X.
Second, well ****, I forgot my 2nd point.

It's a great idea, but what good will it do. We look out pretty well for each other, IMO.
Sure we could set guides, but that doesn't mean people are gonna go by 'em.(can anyone say OHBALLCOACH or who was that other J/O who did doro) -
I would second the "look out for each other" comment. Remeber the FX1000's being sold? not to mention others. Did the money for the shipping ever get returned? I haven't heard any more about that one. I would not want to be in that boat that's for sure great length's seem to be taken to expose them even out of the forum.

This is actually a great suggestion. I'll speak with Micah and see what sort of guidlines we can come up with. It's a good idea for both the seller and the buyers, and can save a lot of time asking the same questions over and over again.
If you guys want to post here some suggestions we'll look at it on Monday!
Thanks,

Agree on the guidelines approach.
I do think it should be clear that this is not an auction house; this is like the classifieds.
Also need to be clear that first buyer to say, "Yes, I want it," gets item, not the first one to say, "Boy I'd like like that let me check and get back to you."
On newbie sellers, I think it's buyer beware. I would encourage a link to the "Good Guy Seller" thread that was started recently.More later,

I think it's a good idea.
