Tip of the hat to Polk Audio!

I recently completed a renovation of a pair of SDA SRS 2.3's, when I was putting everything back together, I "thought" I had covered everything, I noticed that one of the dimensional drivers was frozen. Crap, how did I miss this before now?
Not only was one of the SDA drivers locked up, it happened to be one of the "Donut" drivers to boot. My first thoughts were, I'll never find a replacement on EBay or anywhere else for that matter. As far as I knew, Polk had never incorporated the MW-6513 Donut Driver in any other SDA model...but the 2.3's...none.
As a "last resort" I called Polk Audio Customer Service and inquired about the MW-6513, and the gentleman on the other end informed that "They had 84 in stock". I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I said, "Just to make sure, we're talking about the MW-6513, a Donut Driver for the SDA SRS 2.3 model...yes???"
His reply was "YES, we have that part number in stock, we have 84 of them, how many would you like?"
Less than a week later, I install the new replacement, and the 2.3's were whole again!!!
Great customer support and service is what separates the great companies from the average, thanks to Polk Audio for supporting a product that they sold in 1988.
I'm an old, SDA kinda guy, but if I ever decide to try something new, you can bet your last dollar, it will be a Polk Audio product.

Did you buy 2 and install them both Mike?
Just thinking they would "match" better this way and break in equally.
