Are old SDA 2's of value and where is the best place to sell them?

I have a pair of SDA 2's that are in excellent condition and have been stored in sealed boxes in my basement for 7 years. There is nothing wrong with them, they just outgrew my space. Are these of any significant value at this point? Any idea how much? Would welcome any advice on this and where best to sell them. Thanks!!!

    Search eBay for past sales.

The SDA2's are not that valuable as they are the least sought after of the SDA series. Heck, the entire SDA line isn't that sought after anymore. They simply haven't aged well. $50 is probably a fair asking price if in mint condition. Anything less than mint and you might have to pay someone to take them off your hands.

Wow to think I'm hoarding a stash of unsought after speakers, I knew I was wasting my time searching for the ones I have now going off the misinformation I've gathered from the elders here on the forum. I was taught to listen to your elders glad I did as its been a blast searching and finding what the SDA hype is all about. I can say they are pretty much sought after and from all the happy owners here the proof is in the pudding!

Clearly they seem to sought after just as much as the Heritage line of Klipsch, JBL -L100S and AR3a, DQ-10s among other vintage brands that have had a resurgence in popularity.I would throw in the mix Ohm/Walsh 2xo or 3xo also.

They are no good! That's why Polk quit making them!
Nothing but junk that thousands have to be spent upgrading them
and even then a decent amp won't work.
Another five grand has to be spent on special amps and cables.
BTW where do you live I can come over and relieve you of that mess today!

LOL... to be fair to the OP... I think half of HTGuru's answer is pretty spot on. I just gave a pair of SDA 2's away. They were in really good shape, with the interconnect cable and original manual, and I threw in an extra replacement PR I had acquired since one of them had the foam starting to curl at the edges, so it wasn't like these particular ones couldn't have been sold, but when you think about what we tend to do with the SDA's (replacing all the SL2000's, almost completely rebuilding the crossovers), you'd have to sink quite a bit of money into SDA 2's in order to get them just how we like them, and then you still have the dimensional tweeter problem to contend with.

For the OP, I agree that the two options are: 1) hope to get maybe $100-150 for them tops if someone needs a good rec room speaker, or 2) part them out as there still seems to be a market for the MW6501's, interconnect, etc.

Really? There has been 2 sets of them on Craigslist here in Denver for weeks!! There has also been two sets of SRS 2s there for quite some time as well..

The problem is some people think these are made of gold, and worth a small fortune.
