Acoustic Sounds DSD downloads?

They started this about a month ago, and I was just wondering if anyone here has tried it?:eek:
I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!

    Not yet, but I just bought a DAC from them that plays DSD. Now I need a file player that handles DSD files. :lol:

    Thanks BF, keep us posted on what works/ doesn't work.
    AVShowrooms has a video out recently interviewing Chad Kassems on the set-up. He says if you call them they'll tell you what software to run, etc.
    They've got 229 downloads, and hopefully that's expanding?:question:

    They up to 502 now :) besides DSD they have them in FLAC's and ALAC's. I've already seen a couple of dozen I want so I guess I need to break down and try it :)

    they have 502 downloads but not all of those are DSD!

    I downloaded Rush All the Worlds a Stage and I'm very happy with it.
    Of course I have been hoping for anything better than the original which sucked on sound quality.

    I downloaded Alan Parsons "I Robot" and MJ's Thriller in DSD 2.8. Sounds great to me, however I don't have the same music in other formats to compare the SQ.

    I have downloaded 1 album so far, and it was a Canned Heat album. I was surprised at how good it sounded. Other than that, every other file that I might want I already own, and some multiple times.

    I picked up Dave Brubecks "Timeout" on DSD 2.8 download and it sounds to me as good as the SACD and the 45 rpm Vinyl, with the 1st two playing thru the same DAC! (Marantz 8005 SACD)

    So what program do you have to download to play DSD files through your Marantz good to hear that your able to, and if you don't mind I might just be bugging you on that part when mine arrives.

    I use JRiver media to play it my music files....and Marantz has a window driver you install ,then you set the 8005 mode to usb dac (it has 3 modes) and then you can right click on the icon of the speaker on your taskbar in windows and left click on playback device and select marantz, and its ready to go but the option to pick marantz in playback device will not be there until you have the 8005 on and set to USB-DAC. and have a usb a to usb b cable pluged into the PC & SACD player

    Yes, I been very happy with it and especially its DAC. After hearing a few Chord DAC's I know there is better ones out there but stands on its own just fine. and my IPOD classic just plugs right in and I have the music files on the IPOD ripped as ALAC apple loss-less.
