psw10 wiring

I am running 2 monitor 20s for my centre, monitor 60s for my front and monitor 60s for my rears, i have 2 psw10s also. i just updated my reciever from my 17 yr old yamaha, and my issue is that i bought a package deal and the reciever only has an output for a passive sub... if i run out of there to my powered tens to only one speaker level input on my sub does it run in mono? Does the sub recognize this and automatically run in mono or do i have to wire it another way? Been a stereo head for a lot of years and not very often i cant figure things out lol I just want to make sure that this is the best way... reciever has no sub rca out, just single sub out.. any advice would be great

    Hello streetglide,
Welcome to Polk's forum. You might want to try connecting a single speaker wire from the receiver's passive sub-out to either the right or left speaker level input on the Polk. The reason this might be better than the front speaker connection is that there could be a built-in high pass filter in the receiver to the two front speakers. If the sub were connected there it wouldn't get sufficient bass information to produce much bass.
Set the variable low pass filter, on the sub, to the highest setting so it won't interfere with the incoming filtered signal.
    Regards, Ken
