That, in part, will depend on the piece of gear.

Sure it will. I was looking for a list of vendors that specialize in certain things because google is not really helping me that much:)

I think Jesse meant what are you looking to upgrade. Usually there's a particular person who specializes in one particular amp brand, or amp, cd player, dvd player so on so forth. The list would be very long. It would be more advantageous if you had in mind what you wanted to upgrade so we can tell you where to send it.

A Master List would, in fact, be very beneficial to a lot of folks . . .

That was my intention of starting this thread. To eventually create a "master list" of sorts depending on what type of gear. This may already be in place on other forums, but I am not sure.

Might be a good way to support those business owners as well. A nice referral service for CP members and repair specialists? Sounds good to me! It'd be quite an undertaking to organize the list though.

Would have to be sortable by equipment type, manufacture, business location, services offered, etc. in order to truly be helpful

    How about a B&K ST-140 amplifier?

The B&K ST-140 is a very well build amplifier and easy to upgrade! if you do not know too much about it's topology, just get schematic and You can even upgrade it yourself. The most common upgrade is the power supply and all electrolytic caps, adjusting DC offset, Bias. it all depends on how far you want to go, How much you want to spent, How much you know...
    Make it simple...Make it better!
