Hi there,
I'm italian and I'm very interested in buying a pair of SDA speakers in good condition. I did a search but it seems these spekers are very rare in my area. I found some offers in USA but I think it would be too expensive considering the costs of shipping and customs. So, can you give me some advice to find any reliable seller or someone who sells them in UE, please?

Of course I'll be glad to receive an offer, if someone sells them.

Thank you.

The issue is that finding a pair over there is going to be a game of luck. I have no idea how many pairs made it to the area but they are fairly hard to come by in the US.

You may want to look into what it would cost to have a pair shipped as it may be your best bet over all. The thing with shipping them is they would need to be prepped by someone that knows what to look for with the older Polk speakers as they can have a magnet shift and then the driver would be useless to you. The best bet is find someone that has all ready glued them correctly and could crate them up without trashing them.

What Polk Sda are you looking for?

I love SDA SRS (wood finish) but I don't know what are differences between ver.1, 1.2, 2.3 and 3.1 and which is to be preferred. Alternatively I'd be happy with smaller SDA1A or 1B.

if youre near naples, aviano,m or catania, and you have military friends, you may be able to ship them to a military address, and cut back the cost of customs, and international shipping. alternatively, when i order something from here in europe, i have it shipped to a friend in catania, instead of to my military address.

You might try checking For Sale ads in towns located near US military bases, both former and present. Polks were sold at the PX's at very good prices. Remember you're looking for speakers that were last produced over 20 years ago so it may take some time.

Is TonyB an italian member of this forum? I can't understand, how shipping to a military address could cut shipment and customs costs? Can you explain please?
