So I am wanting some help with figuring out how big a box I need to build with these Eminence drivers. I emailed the manufacture and got the T/S parameters I think (see quote) I need to model a decent box in WinISD.....
55-765 was a custom designed OEM speaker that we manufactured to one of our customer's specifications. It is an 8 ohm speaker with a 2.5" voice coil and an 80 oz ceramic magnet. We do not rate OEM designs (that is left up to the customer to test and rate their cabinet or amp), but a conservative thermal power rating based on the voice coil diameter would be about 250 watts. Here are the T/S parameters:

RE OHMS 5.60
LE MH .79
QM 6.67
QE .290
QT .280
XMAX MM 1.80
BL TM 16.34
EFF % 6.14
FS HZ 39.50
MMS GMS 55.75
CMS mm/N .2912
RMS NS/M 2.0744
VAS LTRS 299.92
SD SCM 856.34
EBP 136.1
SPL dB 99.9

My goal was to use these in a HT application, however given the FS HZ rating, it appears the may not dig super deep and that they might be better suited for stereo subs for mainly music.

Any thoughts from the smart speaker building guys here would be appreciated.

Well I modeled the driver in WinISD. I was hoping to get some help from you DIY fella's.

I am wondering how it would perform in the following:

1 Single or Dual Sonotube for HT. Will it be able to get into the 20 Hz range? I dont think it can, but am asking
2 Single or Dual Close or Vented stereo subs for music. It should go to 40 hz which is about as low as you need for music.
3 Single box combined or split into 2 sections either vented or closed for a car.

I am curious what size boxes I would need to see if its actually economical.

    Any thoughts or opinions welcomed.

P.S. it wont let me attach the WinISD file. If you PM me your email I can send it to you to make life easier.
