Help needed with SME series III tonearm

Any one familiar with this classic? I am attempting to locate the center pivot point location as viewed from above to set overhang.
Unlike many gimbal bearing arms this is not so obvious with the knife edge housing on this model. Any advice much appreciated.

    I had a Series III at one point when I had my Oracle. I'm not sure what you are trying to do though. SME had pretty good instructions with that tonearm if I recall. Are you going off the instructions?

    SME arms are aligned by using an arm specific template and adjusting the mounting position on the base. The cartridge usually has fixed mounting. If you don't have a template or instructions, look here:

    My recollection is the same as billbillw, SME had a specific template and good instructions.
