I joined the 21st century on Friday, with my new Note 2. I got this phone for really simple reasons, and don't really need 90% of the features (At least not yet). I just needed this thing to take pictures of faulty components, data plates, unit layouts, and reading schematics/ IOM's without dragging the co. notebook up on the roof.
So, I'm trying to get this thing utilized for my needs, and I'm not finding the applicable tutorials on YT.

Question 1: Other than attaching my phone directly to my PC via a USB cable, is there a way to transfer large files from one to the other. I've consolidated my tech library to a single zip file, which is about .5GB. Since TWC/ RR limits emails to 10mb, that route is cut-off. And yes, the phone is on my home Wi-Fi.

Question 2: I'm planning for more storage with an additional SD card, but, I'm also stuck with some of the available storage being used up, by apps I neither need nor want. I don't want to jack up my new phone by deleting these apps, if they're actually needed for smooth running operation. Specifically, the NFL Mobile, IMDB, etc.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
TIA
I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!

Who is your provider? They should be able to answer all your questions about your new phone. plus they can e-mail you a tutorial on your new device. Me and the wife recently got S4's and I have dropped by best buy a couple of times the girl that sold them to us is always more than happy to help us out, plus the Verizon rep sent us tutorials on our devices. We got them figured out pretty much, ya gotta keep the NFL mobile, I mean if you are a NFL fan. Have fun using your new device.

I have the Note I and you can set the phone in usb mode and connect it to your laptop/desktop and transfer any photos or any other files from one to the other. I would recommed getting a 32 gig SD card, you can then transfer some of the apps or when you add apps you can have them install on the mem card so it won't take away from the main mem and slow the phone down.
