Central IL Polkies, need a bit o help.

In a couple months (first half of April), I will be in town for a couple days to visit the mothership for a internal national conference. Need some things to do/see while I am there. From how things look I will have Tues and Wends night entirely free. I come in Monday night (have dinner meet/greet for a bit) and leave out on Thursday around 5ish... I may have some time Monday night but not sure how long dinner will last (but if you find me something cool I can make it end sooner rather than later since I am on the PLANNING committee for it )

So help me out, what cool places are there to eat, chilll, etc?

I already know I wan to eat at Kobe (Japanese steakhouse thing) as it was kinda fun last time I was in town. Other than that am open to thoughts/suggestions. Want to avoid chain's if possible as I can get that kinda food wherever.

Not a huge drinker, but any bar w/ a pool table is fine by me.

So what should I do

The first thing to do is get them to move the "conference"( I know that is code for needing to get the hell away for a while:lol:) to Los Angeles.

    Couple days out bump...

It looks like the only "free" night will probably be Wednesday night. I have a mixer dinner for everyone on Monday night, and a "invitation only" dinner on Tuesday night. Wednesday is the best day because my presentation will have been over so I will be able to sit back and relax at that point.

    Looking forward to the trip!

    Ivan, hit me up brother!

    Interesting ? Bloomington ? On a Wednesday ?

You can't be serious. If it was a Friday, I'd say just follow the college chicks from the sororities and hang there.

If it wasn't for the college and State Farm insurance, you'd still see cow crossing signs all over still. If you had a weekend day, I'd say head north a bit to Slagel Farms...think that's how it's spelled. Anyway, all organic farm, tours...stuff for the kids to do, and they have a chef prepare a meal with their products...for a price of course. Can also buy meats. They sell to some nice restaurants up here in Chicago. Going there some time next month....and you guys wonder why my wallet is always empty.

That is perfect as that night is the night a friend and I go out to Medici's to hit up the taps for cheaper drafts. I was hoping you'd have that night free. I should also have a little gift from Florida also ....I hope it works.
