My sons' school is closed today because of the extreme weather conditions. Yeah, it's cold out, but it's not like they stand at the bus stop for hours. Put on another layer & suck it up.

    Yeah, and if a bus breaks down or gets in an accident, some kids might be out there enough to get frostbite. Lawsuit! Better safe than sorry and if you have to extend the school year a couple days in nice weather, who cares?

    Weather like this is normal in many parts. I don't see them closing schools. I guess my big gripe is that between the Christmas break, the week before the break where the kids didn't really do much, and the snow day last Friday, we are going on 3 weeks where no real work has been done at school. They need to get back into the swing of things.

    School was cancelled Monday by the Govenor. School was cancelled today by the teachers union . Tons of parents scrambling for daycare or calling in sick to watch kids. Peace.
