Great article, leave it the Sharp to be in front of the curve. Can't believe more haven't posted about CES 2014, definitely going there some year would make the bucket list.

Go BIG or Go BUST?
"Sharp posted its first quarterly profit since 2011 in the three months ended September (2013) as it benefited from rising demand for solar panels in Japan. The company’s liquid-crystal display unit also turned profitable in the period on rising sales after selling shares to potential LCD buyers including Samsung Electronics Co. (005930), the world’s biggest TV maker."
?The Japanese company, which eliminated about 4,000 jobs in the year ended September, will halt production of solar panels at its U.K. plant in Wales because its output isn’t competitive, the company said last month."

I see Sharp sold its shares in Pioneer @ a loss. At the time of purchase, there were rumors it was after Pioneer's Kuro plasma software engineering. -

Normally, we'd be getting updates on the show from Doro or Russman or Al (kab) by now. But those guys aren't with Polk these days. So Ken was nice enough to post this thread from CES:

There may be more to follow?
