A pair S10s is available locally, and I'd like some input on what they sound like, what they are worth and what I should look for when I go to check them out tomorrow. There are no comps on the auction site right now BTW. I like deep bass and tend to listen a little loud. I have a Nak PA-7 to drive them. Thanks.

I had a pair. I found the bass to be very boomy and inaccurate. I've heard that adding poly to the innerds improves the boomy bass. Imo...they were Polk's run at Cerwin-Vega. Just my opinion though. I would probably not go more than $100/pr in very nice condition.

hehe....I was trying to be somewhat polite in answering. But yeah...keep looking! I'd stick with the Monitor series.

As I mentioned in the other forum, unless it's ridiculously cheap, pass.

The engineer that voiced the S series told me that the S6 and S8 were the sweet spot of the line. The S10 was designed for those who like "mucho bass". The S8's do sound surprisingly good but most agree that the S10 bass is bloaty.

Thanks guys. He's asking $125 so I'll wait for something better.
