I am waiting on my LSi15's to come in, but I was hoping someone could help me with the receiver. From what I understand they are 4 ohm speakers, and not all receivers can handle that load. I have an older HK PA 5800 amp that I was thinking about using, but was unsure about the HK receiver to buy. I think I have narrowed it down to the AVR 230 and the AVR 430. The 230 and the 430 have the preouts to run the amp, but the 430 has more power so that I have more flexibility in setting up my system should I want to bi-amp the fronts with the PA5800. hich one of the HK's (if any) do you think would be a good choice.
PA 5800 : 85 x 5 (8ohm)
110 x 5 (4ohm)
Thanks
