I'm thinking about replacing my JBL L80t mains with one of the above. The TSi400 and Monitor 70 II both cost new in the $360 to$400 range per pair. I can get a pair of the RTi10's locally. Not sure of the price, but it would likely be around $450/pair. Not
sure yet how old the RTi10's are, but the seller says they're in fantastic shape. I'll be using these for 75% HT and at most, 25% music. I have a Yamaha V573 AVR for power. I do have a Soundcraftsmen amp I could move from upstairs if I need to, but would prefer to leave that powering my Polks upstairs.

Which of the three would you recc.??

For home theater the RTi 10s would be your best bet, but I'm not sure if I would say they're better than the JBL L80ts, I own a pair of those and with proper amplification, they sound "better" than anything above to me? The JBLs were 800-1000 dollars a pair in the late '80s and were home versions of their, rather well received, studio monitors of that time. If it were me, I'd hold on the the JBLs, refresh the crossovers and refoam whatever needs it. I still run mine with some "tubes", tames the titanium tweeter, actually "sweetens" it some! Of course if you're running those JBLs off of that Yamaha you have no idea how much "better" they can sound!

I'd say you would have to step up to Polk LSi-Ms to see an improvement in your L/R stage?

Thanks a ton cnh. You may have just saved me several hundred bucks! I keep on having people tell me how good the L80t's are. And I fully agree. I'm not unhappy at all with them. It's just that I've had them for so long, I figured 'newer would have to be
better'. But that doesn't sound to be the case here. I just bought a new TV, so figured it was time to get new speakers as well. Now I very well may just keep what I have. It's still tempting to try something new and different though.
