During the end of the year I was hurting for cash and played w/the idea of selling either my ADC 303ax or DCM Time Frame 350s listing them on C/L. I listed these sets ages ago and actually forgot about it since no action was ever heard, things got better finacially and I'm keeping them. I get an E-Mail from 4 in the morning today saying if I could bring the 350s into the city for $140 he would like to add to his DCM collection. What? I propmtly replied that I would never deliver anything I'm seling on C/L. Also you can audition them here and say well this or that and have me make a rediculous wasted trip. Besides gas,tolls the schelp itself I said no. Has anyone have balls enough to ask for a delivery on something you were selling to a perfect stranger? I was shocked but was polite and just BSd about DCMs nothing personal and suggested if he wants something to pick his **** up and get it himself.I think this was the original listing.If you think the listing price is high that might be true because I guess I really did not want to sell them.

Very smart move on your part, many crimes have occurred from transactions involving C/L. I would suggest meeting at a public place if you do decide to part ways with the DCM's. I am never keen on having people I don't know to learn where I live either, as some have been targeted for home invasion crimes.

I guess it would depend on the scenario....

I did ask the guy I am getting my SRS-2's from if he had a way to get them to the place I work. Neutral ground, a place to offload and store them until I can sneak them into the house, etc....

This is also the risk one takes. I have no Florida room, seperate shed or garage to audition the gear.I did sell my refurbed Bose 601s and did ok both cash wise and no other interaction w/ anyone.With speakers I know I would never buy a pair until I heard them unless the were advertised as pure basket cases and the prices reflected that then maybe.RCOne, I did not want to pile on when you had your problem w/ Polk C/S. I must agree equating losing or mixing up a speaker w/a l &d situation was a bit overblown and you were clearly preturbed to put it mildly. They will if not already resolve your problem, try to relax and have a happy new year. I am not goofing here. Believe me I have been slammed by the guys here for some of my distorted views and were politely hammered and now either have been insidiously inhabited by the Borg or was just wrong and was awaken by more enlightened people....Lew

LoL, I have very thick skin and mere words of some that may not share my views does not concern me much. As for a update I still have not gotten my replacement, even after I sent back the wrong part and they have signed for it. I started off calling the 1-800 number on the order slip and talked with someone in their french branch and was transfered to another number that never was answered. lucky I remember the number given by one of the admins and reached the US branch (Phil was understanding and professional), but had to call me back saying they needed the part number on what I was sent. As stated earlier I was sent a REF slip to return the wrong item and still waiting for the correct one to arrive. This all started on 20 Dec. I could be a bit more understanding, but the supply house is in California not more that 6 hours away.......go figure LOL
