Well folks, it's time to thin the herd. Here are some excellent speakers at solid prices. CP gets first crack at these for exactly (2) weeks, then I will move them to CL at higher prices for another (2) weeks, and then finally they'll go to eBay. One way or another, these speakers will be out of my house soon.
Polk Audio LSiM-707's
- Condition: 8/10. Very good shape.
- Color: Midnight Mahogany.
- Accessories: Original boxes, packaging, manuals.
- Photos: Sorry don't have any, but I can gaurantee you that they look like Midnight Mahogany LSiM-707's.
- Shipping: Nope.
- Other: I bought these here on CP about a year ago from Craig (vcwatkins). He passed on to me the same great deal he had received, which was $1800. When we met, he said he had found a small hole in one of the grills, so he took off another $100. When I got home I had a hard time locating the "hole", which was really more of a scratch (1/16" x 1/8"). I didn't replace the grill because it's not visible from a few feet; regardless, I will pass on my purchase price.
- MSRP: $4000
- Price: $1700 local pickup/cash.
Polk Audio LSiM-706c
- Condition: 9.5/10. Mint.
- Color: Mount Vernon Cherry.
- Accessories: Original box, packaging, manual.
- Photos: Sorry don't have any, but I can gaurantee you that it looks like a Mount Vernon Cherry LSiM-706c.
- Shipping: Sure.
- Other: I bought this new a few months ago. It has maybe 10 hours on it. The grill is still in the original plastic. This is the second best center channel I've ever heard. It's a beast.
- MSRP: $1200
- Price: $600 local pickup/cash. $660 shipped/paypal'd.
Polk Audio LSi-9's
- Condition: 6/10. Presentable.
- Color: Original Cherry.
- Accessories: Zip. Nada.
- Photos: See below.
- Shipping: Nope.
- Other: These speakers perform perfectly, but they have some imperfections. The drivers/tweeters/front baffles are perfect. The tops are very good. The backs are very good. (2) of the sides are excellent, and (2) of the sides have scratches (see pics). The bottom of one speaker has some de-laminating, but you can't see it unless you pick it up. One speaker is missing a jumper. I'm sure Polk can send you a new one, but I just put a piece of speaker wire in.
- MSRP: $999.
- Price: $250 local pickup/cash.
Usher Audio CP-6311's
- Condition: 9/10. Damn Near Mint.
- Color: Piano Gloss Black and Pioneer Birch.
- Accessories: Original box, packaging, manual.
- Photos: See below.
- Shipping: Nope.
- Other: I bought these brand new a few months back. There are in as new condition. These speakers offer a tremendous bang for the buck. Easily equivalent to LSiM's in terms of build and sound quality, but with a different visual and auditory aesthetic. I can see why someone would prefer either one over the other. Serious cast iron bases and brass spikes.
- MSRP: $2100
- Price: $1300 local pickup/cash.
Usher Audio X-616
- Condition: 9/10. Damn Near Mint.
- Color: Piano Gloss Pearl and Pioneer Birch.
- Accessories: Original box, packaging, manual.
- Photos: See below.
- Shipping: Sure.
- Other: I bought this brand new a few months ago. It is in as new condition. This is a perfect timbre match to the CP-6311's, and it's the 3rd best center channel I've ever heard. It's a beast.
- MSRP: $850
- Price: $500 local pickup/cash. $560 shipped.
- CP-6311's + X-616 combo price: $1650
Usher Audio Dancer Mini 2 DMD's
- Condition: 8/10. Very good shape.
- Color: Piano Gloss Black and Walnut.
- Accessories: Original boxes, packaging, manual.
- Photos: See below.
- Shipping: Nope.
- Other: These are the real deal. Fantastic hi-fi bargain. The pictures do not do the wood grain justice at all. Not so "mini" at 90lbs per speaker. Serious cast iron bases. A few small marks here and there, but overall in great shape.
- MSRP: $5000
- Price: $2800 local pickup/cash.
Usher Audio BE-616 DMD
- Condition: 9/10. Damn Near Mint.
- Color: Piano Gloss Black and Pioneer Birch.
- Accessories: Original box, packaging, manual.
- Photos: See below.
- Shipping: Sure.
- Other: This center is a perfect timbre match to the MD-2's, using the same DMD tweeter. This is the best center channel I've ever heard. It's a beast.
- MSRP: $2000
- Price: $1200 local pickup/cash. $1280 shipped/paypal'd.
- MD-2 DMD's + BE-616 DMD combo price: $3800.
Magnepan 1.6QR's
- Condition: 7/10. Good shape.
- Color: White (cream/iridescent).
- Accessories: Original boxes, packaging, manual.
- Photos: See below. These are old photos, but their condition has not changed.
- Shipping: Nope.
- Other: I believe that the Magnepan 1.6's currently offer the absolute best bang for the buck on the used hifi market. These speakers operate perfectly. They look perfect from the front, but the backs at the bottom have staple holes from where the previous owner re-stretched the fabric. I think the tighter fabric looks great, but you can see the holes at the bottom from the back side.
- MSRP: $2000
- Price: $800 local pickup/cash.
Totem Acoustic Lynks
- Condition: 8/10. Very good condition.
- Color: Black ash.
- Accessories: Original box, packaging, manual, mounting hardware, and optional grills.
- Photos: See below.
- Shipping: Sure.
- Other: High performance bipole/dipole surrounds. They are timbre matched to other Totems, but they will sound excellent with many other speakers. I used them with my Ushers since Usher doesn't make a bipole surround, and they did fantastic. One speaker has slight residue on the top; you could probably get it off. One speaker has marks on the back from being mounted; you could hit it with a sharpie if you wanted.
- MSRP: $1150
- Price: $400 local pickup/cash. $450 shipped.
Ok. I think that's all for now. Auditions are welcomed and encouraged!

I'll take the LSi9's IF there is anyway I can talk you into shipping them or I can find someone to help me out with that
I have been wanting to try a pair for a couple of years but have not been able to find a pair I could afford.
Please let me know if there is ANY WAY I could talk you into shipping them. -

GLWTS!Trying out Different Audio Cables is a Religious Affair. You don't discuss it with anyone.:biggrin: -
We can talk about the 707s. I think I have found a use for them. The main thing would be the timing as I am just about to start a renovation on the room my HT is in. PM me and we can figure something out.
-
Just in case you decide to ship...put me in line for the LSi9's...
never hurts to ask....
Thanks

I have been itching to try out the 6311s/616 combo for a while now...but I am sure my wife has other ideas."Some people find it easier to be conceited rather than correct."

Just donate me a set of your LSi 15's on your way through. Would help you justify the purchase to the wife . Looks like the Maggie 3.7's win eh?
Some damn nice gear and the price is right. Man oh man I wish I could take the Mini Dancer's off your hands. -
I am very curious about the ushers, great looking cabls and if the centers awesome its even better but a reality check is in order as I'm much too far away.

You'll be second in line if I ship, but I'll give them a couple weeks to go local first. I'd have to go out and buy packing stuff and I'd really rather not mess with it.2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's

I'll ship the Usher towers if necessary, but I'd rather give them a little time to go local. The shipping cartons are pretty nice, but you never know what can happen. My wife is being difficult and by that I mean she wont let me have $3800 for speakers. Would you ever want a perfectwave mk2 dac and transport with cables for the MD-2 DMD's + BE-616 DMD combo?
