tsi300 speakers
just wondering whats the good starting point for the crossover on these i did use the audessy and it set them to large and crossover to 40hrz....so i put them to small......i heard that 80 hrz is good....also .im using tsi300 speakers for the fronts...cs10 fpr center and r150 for the surrounds.... and psw10 for the sub...any advice thanks

Those speakers can't handle 40hz, in fact they have a hard time getting good SPLs at 50hz. You should think of them as a TOWER BOOKSHELF and set the crossover at 80hz, same for the center and rears for now and see how that sounds. Let the sub handle the tones to 40hz which is where the PSW10 will begin to show its limitations, it emits a LOT of port noise if you push it!
What I recommend if you're planning on pushing a PSW10 is to put it at RIGHT ANGLES to the L/C/R speakers, firing across to the other wall. For some reason this seems to offset some of its port noise but does not completely eliminate it. It's an odd placement, but it usually works? Also, never have that SUB's volume past 12 o'clock!

The short answer is Yes! But it depends on your budget and whether or not you're leaning more toward HT or music!

i guess i listen to both equally....so what would be a descent an upgrade from what i got....do i stick with polk....

Look at SVS and HSU subs. Good subs, especially for the price.
