That's a very generous offer Mark, but I was looking for a pair to roll in my Cary Dac. Just saw that it was only a single 6922. Thanx anyways!

D I'll have to be seriously vague on this since I've ran those style tubes(Orange/White) thru various gear. Some win, some don't and it's circuit that hits a lot of it from the voltage stage….I'm not here to shine you on. Tubes are awesome in some gear and stink in others….nature of the beast. That's kind of the reason we play around ya' know? It's the diamond in the rough search man….and I've had garbage tubes sound amazing at a show. Go figure and the explanation sucks 2….freaking audio.

RCA vs Amperex? Whew…..I'd have to go Orange but only NOS, with RCA USED as my smooth have. Again, it's gear driven' but Cary Audio is a super shine on tubes in my experience. That gear seriously shows a lot of character in everything rolled. If you want to hear tubes, run some Cary or Dodd gear.

Good luck with the sales...no tube gear and I'm a toob noob :)

George - Yaman, it's weird. I picked them up when they weren't cool, years ago…..folks are like BRIMAR? HUH? If they had a Bugle on the logo, I bet they would sell quick eh? It's a solid English tube from old school.

    Tubes are cool, must own M A N Y.

I recently bought a Cary 100t dac. It has a pair of 6922's in it, and id like to swap something different in it. I may start with a pair of Amperex 7308's from NY, early 60's circa. Those I own now, but like trying different things. I don't even know what comes stock in it, as I haven't even opened her up yet. Very nice sounding Dac!

You will be happy with the Amperex 7308's Bob. Some of the best 6922/varient types I've used........

Thanks man! I'm boxing stuff up tonight for shipping tomorrow.

    Anyone need some tubes?

OH!! I only have 6L6 as pairs, not a quad...so depending on your tube gear, a pair would be fine but some are designed differently. ALA Sonic Frontiers/Anthem are mu-follower designed.

interested in this "NOS RADTEL 6SN7 (BROWN Base) - $40"
Were they a matched set? Anybody have any info on these?

    who made them? what year?

They are not matched since I usually label them but I've had them so long, who knows. I believe it's a rebranded tube, but from what I have no idea. If you want them, try them and if you don't like, just send them back or use for target practice. I'm not using them at all so test them out for me.
