I am thinking of selling my Polk RTA-12c as it looks like I will be downsizing my living situation soon. They are set up in my office which is my second system and since I retired is not being used much anymore. I have owned them for 11 years and they have been well cared for in that time. All drivers work and the tweeters are SL-2000. There has been no modifications to the drivers or the crossovers. The cabinets are in fair shape. The grills are in good shape, but two of the top hats posts were broken when I bought them. The right speaker pedestal is held together by two zip ties (were like that when I bought them ). I was wondering what a fair price would be for them. I was thinking in the range of $175 to $200 for the pair. I am located in Southern California and would not ship them as they weight a ton and I do not want to ship. Is that a fair price ? Thanks in advance for your responses. Matt

As a RTA 12C (early ones with the SL 1000 tweeters) I think you're range is in the ball park. As with anything else, it's what a buyer is willing to pay."Science is suppose to explain observations not dismiss them as impossible" - Norm on AA; 2.3TL's w/sonicaps/mills/jantzen inductors, Gimpod's boards, Lg Solen SDA inductors, RD-0198's, MW's dynamatted, Armaflex speaker gaskets, H-nuts, brass spikes, Cardas CCGR BP's, upgraded IC Cable, Black Hole Damping Sheet strips, interior of cabinets sealed with Loctite Power Grab, AI-1 interface with 1000VA A-L transformer -
I sold mine in excellent condition for $225.

I am sorry did not mean to break the rules. I would gladly delete the post, but I don't see a way to do that. If somebody could tell me how to delete it I will do so. Matt
