Doing a point 2 point crossovers is a lot of fun, it takes a lot of time, and you have to pay attention to detail, and most important making sure your connecting everything correctly...

I thought about having Trey do them, I talked to him about them, but I wanted to have fun doing them myself, and it saved me a lot of coin. It's not really that hard once you get started.

Working in a sheet metal/machine shop is a plus as well, I still have some work to do, but I am looking forward to hooking them up.

I am doing my CRS+'s and my 1.2tl's.. I am not going external as I had initially planned, I didn't like how it was going to look, so I'm sticking with internal..

I wouldn't bother with PCB's unless it's a mass produced speaker line. Point to point is easy once you have everything orientated.

When your using Clarity MR's and Dulund Resistors a PCB is worthless IMO, and it's a good learning experience. Also a PCB is like doing paint by numbers.. LOL!!!

George, I have to be very focused as well, especially with the 1.2tl's..

Definitely interested in seeing what you come up with for the CRS+'s.

I'm almost done, this takes time when your anal about it, As many hours as this can take, what Trey charges to build them is spot on, so anyone that might feel his prices are high, try and do it yourself, and you will see he is more then fair, especially when you add the cost in capacitors, inductors, resistors, wire, delrin, custom box, hardware, solder, molex connectors, and I can keep going..

I have about 40 hours + in mine! and I'm sure he is about the same! he might be a little quicker since he has a few under his belt. I should also add, I don't think anyone should try it if they haven't done cross over upgrades with just the boards, it can be tedious to say the least, but it is a lot of fun if you just take your time and follow the schematics..

Yeah, some of the mods I can do faster, my Fortress line is fairly stream lined. When I get into the Monastery line where most of it is custom and one off builds the labor is sometimes daunting. When you factor in research, planning, etc it sometimes can get into the 80 hour mark or longer..

I look forward to seeing yours when done! :)

I also enjoy building P2P crossovers, especially since you can make them fit where you need to.
