I always try to have a positive attitude toward the new year. I do find that the older I get the more I think of days gone by at this time of year. No resolutions...gave up on them a long time ago....although I am determined to get a preamp this coming year and finally get a 2 channel-analog set up going.Yep, my name really is Bob.

Careful, Tony! I thought "I" was the pessimist around here, the REAL pessimist!
A few pounds? Check, already working on that, down 5!
Now if that FOOT of snow that's on my porch roof will just melt before the roof caves. Unlikely.
Happy New Year, Boys and Girls!

2013 was pretty tough for me. Lost a good paying job in Dec. 2012 due to downturn of business (we lost a contract with UnderArmour). But I got through it. Had to take a job I really hated to get by. Didn't pay enough but the benefits were good.
Now I am back in my old arena (textiles) and should have a better 2014 even if it's not nearly my old pay level and probably never will be again considering my age. But I am looking forward to the new year and new challanges.
Happy New Year, Polkies. Thanks for the info, laughs and general entertainment the past couple years.

Happy New Year. 2013 was a pretty good year as we dig out of the morass created earlier in the past decade. It looks like 2014 is going to get even better. Let's hope the 1% have some trickle down for everyone else. Good fortune all.Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable

I guess I oughta sign up :-)
Further, I think there's a fine line between retirement and unemployment ;-) All I can say about my status is that it is 100% voluntary. Mrs. H, I believe, does think I am nuts... but hopin' to earn a little spendin' money as a consultant in the mid-term. If we end up freezin' and starvin'... I guess it'll be back to full-time work again (but I sure hope to avoid it in perpetuity).
Sorry for the hijack; I'll be quiet now :-)
