Short summary of the differences between the Dynaudio c1 signature and Special 25:
c1: smoother, fuller midrange, very good bass, looks better (imo)
special 25: trebles more forward, leaner midrange, even better bass than the c1

I always found it curious why they decided to mount the tweeter on the C1 below ear level to time align the speaker. Perhaps that's why you're hearing that the S25's are more forward. I would agree with pretty much all of your statements. The S25 puts out a lot of bass, but depending on room acoustics, not sure whether I would say one is better than the other. I haven't put them both in my room and looked at the measurements. Both are great speakers though.
Have you moved up from the S25's to the C1?2Ch Tube Audio Convert -
yes, but I'm not sure which one to keep! I still like the Special 25 on certain recordings

I heard those Dynaudios when I was in Japan. Very nice bookie! Don't know the S25s?
Enjoy!
