Best Value: Polk Monitor 70 vs Infinity Primus 363 vs JBL E80

Hi. I am looking to buy a pair of floor-standing speakers in the $200 price range. I have the option of buying some Monitor 70's for $200 used, a pair of Infinity 363 for $220 new, or a pair of JBL E80 for $150 used. How do theses speakers compare and does one set offer better value at the prices given?

    Welcome to Club Polk.

    To be honest, I haven't heard the Infinity speakers but read reviews where many like them?

    JBLs are now in the same general CORPs group as Infinity. Not sure how that affects either speaker. JBLs are not bad speakers but many here don't care for the so-called West coast sound?

    The JBLs you mention will pump out more LOW end (but it may be a bit sloppy?) than M-70s and sound "brighter" up top (more sizzle) with the mids taking a more laid back roll than what you'll hear on Polks. You really need to hear them for yourself?

    Thanks for the feedback! I am focused on buying the Polk Monitor 70 or Primus 363. I am going to demo them at my local best buy.
