Need help with center speaker

I am looking to build a home theater/music system around some Polk bookshelf fronts... problem is I don't have room for one of the matched centers. I was hoping someone could please shed some light on wheither or not using one of the TL centers with say the TSX220B's is an alright solution. Bear in mind I am no audiophile and it doesn't need to sound perfect just very good . I will be using a Sony STRDH740 with auto calibration if that helps at all... I am open to any and all suggestions but I really do not want to run a phantom setup and moving my tv to make room for another center is not an option. Thanks in advance for any help!

As always you are the ultimate judge whether a setup sounds good but I think you will be ok. I would suggest a TL2 center channel to more closely match the dome tweeter found in the TSX line. Another thought, since you are tight on space you could just go with a complete Blackstone setup like the TL350 and a good sub. I use a pair of TL3 for my desk system and really like them.AVR: Elite VSX-21TXH
Amplifier: B&K 7250 Series ii
Misc: Velodyne SMS-1
Mains: RTi-10
Center: CSi-5
Rear: Boston DSi460
Sub: SVS PC-Ultra
TV: Panasonic TC-P58V10

First off, thanks for the reply... the only space which is limited is under the tv. It is right above a mantle in a rather large room (26ft by 20ft). Im thinking I want to try it with the TL2 but am hoping someone will tell that it will work one way or the other... I emailed Polk but have not heard back.

For that big a room, I think all your speakers may be a tad too small. Given where your placing the tv, I might opt to not use a center at all and just let the voices come out of the left and right. BTW....is there a subwoofer somewhere in all this ?HT SYSTEM-

I just measured the room, its more like 15 by 24... a subwoofer is coming, although just the psw10 more than likely. I was hoping the tsx220s could be in front with probably the tl2 center. I just picked up tsx 110s for the rears although those can be returned if this won't work. I was initially looking at some monitor 60's for fronts but we have a toddler and I have nightmares of her pulling them over. Would this whole system sound off with a TL center, monitor towers and tsx110s in the back? Thanks again for the replys guys, as you can obviously tell I'm a newbie in all of this... trying to learn as much as I can in a short amount of time. -
Wow, I know I am a newbie on this forum but several other forums in which I am a long-standing member this offer would considered very low taste... The whole point of the thread is I can not fit a center speaker of that size. I am still hoping to get some insight on my situation... not a sales pitch.
I agree with Willy on this, very poor taste.
Wish I could help you out with your question. -
Most TV above the fireplace settings are too high. Yes I have a fireplace too, wish I didn't.
Do you have any room above the TV?
