    There is a lot of good info above, here would be my list.

    Wyred 4 Sound STP-SE pre-amp, ST500 amp, with OPPO 105, with your speakers of choice, and sub if needed..

    That's just my choice, but my biggest suggestion is just stay away from a receiver. 6k will do you a lot better then even looking at them..

    You get a lot for the money with Salk. Like WLDock suggested, schedule a demo there if you are nearby. Look over the standard and exotic veneers he offers. I was ready to put a deposit on some new ones but was checking the 'for immediate delivery' forum daily. A pair of used popped up in a veneer I really liked and I jumped on them.
