sub speaker wire

i got an 8 gauge rockford amp wiring kit that came with some 16 gauge speaker wire. should i use this for hooking the subs to the amp, or get a thicker gauge?

16 is fine for 175 watts

if you keep the run short enough ( 2 feet or less ) you can squeak 250 w through 16 gauge w/out a problem... but ya -- a normal length run w/ 175 watts - 16 gauge should be ok.The Artist formerly known as PoweredByDodge
