RTI vs Monitor Setup

Hi folks,

I recently put together the following setup:

Polk Audio Monitor70 Series II Floorstanding Loudspeaker (Fronts - $350)
Polk Audio New Monitor 25C Two-Way Center Channel Loudspeaker (Center - $99)
Polk Audio Monitor40 Series II Two-Way Bookshelf Loudspeaker (Rear - $120)
Polk Audio PSW110 10-Inch Powered Subwoofer (Sub - $250)

I have an opportunity to replace the Monitor70s with RTI8s and the Monitor40s with RTI4s for an extra $50 total. I am using an Onkyo TX-NR616 receiver and the primary use is Movies and Sports.

Is it worth upgrading to the RTI line?
I realize the center won't match, but it is something I can live with and consider as a future upgrade.

Yes, it's worth it. I have both the 8's and 4's and they sound great. Everyone on the Polk board convinced me to skip the Monitors and go right to the RTI line...and I'm grateful they did. When you get the chance, check out either the CSI5 or CSIA6 center channels (they're basically the same with the 6 being the newer model). They match up great with the RTI speakers.

Thanks. I am returning the Monitors for RTI8s and RTI4s.
