    LOL, this thread is perfect...

    I just had a locally raised t-bone tonight and now am sitting to some perfect tunes with an 18yr single malt Tomatin.

    Can't watch the game because I have fantasy football implications (I know...lame) Too stressfull.

    A nice scotch and tunes seemed easier...

    Mine is at the moment a Yamazaki 12yr single malt. Is very nice.

    Balvenie Doublewood 12 is my favorite scotch hands down.

    Although Johnnie has some sentimental value and I can take a Johnnie Black at any time...Balvenie has to be my fav.

    Granted this is on a Mid-Fi and Mid-Scotch budget. I guess I haven't yet had the opportunity to sample the higher end fare of either. Although, I do have a bottle of Johnnie Blue as a gift and think I prefer the Balvenie...but maybe I need to do more comparisons. :mrgreen:

    I drank some Blue Label earlier today and wasn't as impressed as I thought i'd be, I like Balvenie a lot and got to try their 21 year which is incredible. My normal scotch is Glenfiddich 15 year, hard to beat for the price and so smooth. I got the Glenfiddich Cask of Dreams last week as a little christmas present and it's one of my new favorite higher end scotches i've tried so far. Now i'm craving a cigar haha. Yamazaki 12 has been on my short list of ones to try, i'll have to check it out.

    The Macallan Cask Strength is tasting very nice right now along with Eric Clapton "Slowhand". Makes for a very nice evening with the wife over at a friends house.
