I found a pair of these locally for cheap and am wondering how well they might be for movies and some music. The wife wants to know what to get me for Christmas and I'm thinking these might be it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

No one? How about any experience with other Timeframe models? Do they work well at all for theater use?

I have the TF-350s, I ran them in my main system for a couple of years. Nice speakers that are hard to beat if you can pick them up cheap.

I am a big fan of the vintage DCM. I have never run that model but would not hesitate to pick them up if cheap enough. have run other model in the 2 ch as well as the HT rig. they work great. Currently have the TF-V8.0 for mains and CX 27's for rears in the 5.1. Would normally have a CX 27 or 17 for center but currently do not have the room. That being one of the lowest models in the line they may or may not work well for mains depending on x-over points/ subs/ etc. but should work great for rears if nothing else. Good luck

Thanks, guys. Probably gonna pick them up as they are cheap enough. Even if they don't work out as theater speakers, I will try to make the space for a two channel music only system.

I have TF 350s refoamed and resocked before I got them. Not familar w/ 250s but most in know say that the 600s are the perfect TFs and then go on to DCM Time Window series. I still have mine and were my go to speaker before I got my 2Bs, imaging and soundstage are incredible. Also fairly small footprint for such a great sounding speaker. I say this to all who ask about TFs that the socks are very prone to fading from sunlight be aware of foam rot on drivers and that they are mirror imaged so left right orientation matters. If in good to very good shape and if cheap as you say get them.I think I got mine off C/L for $140.1 other point I run mine through a 200wpc amp and have no idea what the minimum amp/ receiver would work.
