Preamp Tube Question

I just received the Psvane tubes in the photo from Grant Fidelity. I know very little about tubes and was wondering if one of the tubes has an issue. In the photo one tube has a hazy top while the other is shiny metallic. Is the hazy tube ok to use or is it a defect or something?

    My research indicates that the white getter is due to a vacuum leak.

    while it does appear very suspicous,,have you tried it or tested it?

    Personally the only time I have seen a tube like that was when it lost part or all of it's vacuum but send the pic to where you ordered them from and check them on a tube checker and see where it's at.

    Don't bother to run a test....it's toast...send it back for a replacement. Did it arrive in that condition?

    All indications are it's lost it's vacuum. Anytime the getter material is milky whitish color means the tube has no vacuum and it can not be used. Send it back for a replacement.

    Thanks Guys, I am asking for a refund, going to go with Gold Lions instead, not sure I want to wait another 3 weeks to get the psvanes from china.
