Lookin to put these up in my parts store, for easy listening during business hrs, and maybe a little rockin after. Been looking at the 5jr, monitor 4, or maybe the RT28i? Or should I spend a bit more and jump to the Lsi7? Any thoughts on the older Polk bookshelves? Can get most older pair for under $100. Thanx for any input.

Those go on sale pretty often... I picked up a pair pretty cheap. The RTi4's are on sale right now for $119.99 a pair if you're good with 5.25's http://www.frys.com/product/6895196
I paid less than $150 for the RTi6's on sale. -
I have them for surrounds... RTi12's and PSW505 for mains.

If you can snag a pair of Polk Monitor 4's they are a great speaker & dont take up much space & can be had for 40.00.
Monitor 5jr+'s can do the job very well also.
T15's can be had for 50.00 new on sale & can be wall mounted & IMO dont sound bad.. -
Not to knock any of the above (some of which are personal faves of mine)... but the current entry-level line of Pioneer speakers "Designed by Andrew Jones" (of TAD, which is the real Pioneer loudspeaker and driver brand) are pretty astonishing for their price tags.

I just bought a pair of Monitor 5A's with the Peerless tweeters and am very impressed with them.

RT25i, FTW.
What a fantastic small, inexpensive bookie.
I own them and I thought the RT38i would be even more of a good thing, but the RT25i's spanked them in all but bass. The RT25i is the special speaker in that line if you are looking for a small bookie. It even does upper midrange (think female vocals) more realistically than my modded 5B's. They are impressive unless you are looking to shake the walls down.
