Bi amped lsic with acurus a250

Good morning fellow polkies. I just purchased a parasound a21 to power my mains (lsim703), the parasound is replacing my old acurus a250. I wanted to see I what differences I'd pick up using my old amp to bi amp the lsic, I used a y splitter from the back of my denon 3312 center channel pre out and ran one interconnect to each of the two channels of the amplifier. Removed the gold jumper on the back of the lsic and ran two sets of wires one for the highs and lows. The problem I'm having is when I turn the amplifier on all I get is a very loud low hz buzz coming from the center channels drivers. I tried again using the jumpers and only one channel of the amplifier and all was fine. Mind you this amp has been powering each of my mains for quite sometime with no problems. What am I missing here? Thanks, Chris

Bi-amping by it's very definition means two amps, you're using one.....no can do.

I'm trying to understand how you are connecting up the Denon to the amp. You said you are using the old amp to bi amp...are you using the Acurus by itself or in conjunction with the A21? Why are you using the center output for the mains?

    What I'm not certain is......

Would splitting the preout result in a higher current flow from the preout or a 50% reduction in signal strength?

If you are using both amps would this possibly result in a ground loop noise?

I was using the acurus a250 to bi amp the center channel, and just the center channel preout from the denon with a y splitter and two interconnects one for each of the two channels available on the acurus a250. I will try getting a new y splitter interconnects should be fine because those were the old IC's used for my two channel set up. Thanks.

What you are describing sounds like a bi-wire and not a bi-amp. Also, by using the center preout you need to use Dolby correct? Are you doing this for movie watching or 2-CH listening?

To bi-amp you would be looking to take one amp with one preout to one speaker and the same for the other speaker, generally in a mono configuration, not all amps can be bridged.
