I'm mounting the speakers I've bought. RTiA7, CSiA6, Fxi4 and RtiA1 for L&R high. I'll use them with an 55" TV and an 120" screen projection. I'd like to know the best position for the L&R high, as I'm NOT using Side surround, only Rear Surround (Fxi4). Thanks.

Any luck finding the answer else where yet? I am thinking of adding RTiA1s to my set up as Heights as well. Didnt know if they needed to be near the ceiling or if above the fronts was just fine.Man Cave: 7.1

I remember reading that they should be above the LR speakers pointed at a 45 degree angle to your listening position. Not sure what height that turns out to be.

That height requirement is dependent on room size, listening position and so on. the only constant is that the height speakers should be 1-1.5 feet offset (outside of mains). The ideal is to create a more spacious front sound (depth)Family Room HT 7.2/i]:Vizio Oled55h1 Pioneer Elite SC-LX502 Pioneer Elite BDP 85FD Eversolo DMP A6 Panamax M5300-EXSpeakers Fronts Fluance XF8L Center Polk Audio S35 Side Surrounds Fluance bipolar Rear Surrounds FluanceXF8 Bookshelf Subs SVS PB4000 x2 Living room 2ch: Crown Xli 1500 amp x2, Teac EQ MKII FX Audio X6 Mk II DAC Squeezebox Touch Fluance Signature Tower Speakers Panamax M5100-EXOffice media room:Vizio M50Q6 50" Pioneer Elite VSX LX301 Eversolo DMP-A6 Polkaudio R600 Towers Polkaudio Center R350 Panamax M4300 Monoprice 12" subMaster bedroom:Vizio M55Q7 Pioneer Elite VSX LX302 Pioneer Elite BDP 85FD Squeezebox Touch Fluance Signature Bookshelf fronts, Rears Fluance Signature Bipolar Polk Audio CS10 center Monoprice 12" sub Panamax M5300-EX

Ideally you want the front heights set at 45 degrees from the listening position, both horizontally and vertically. Otherwise as close to the ceiling as possible and as close to 45 degrees as possible. If your mains are at a 35 degree angle this would be about 1.5 to 2 fet outside the mains.
