The only way I could use the **** time method to determine adequate warm-up time would be if I were constipated.
Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable
Sony XA-5400ES SACD; Pass XP-22 pre; X600.5 amps
Magico S5 MKII Mcast Rose speakers; SPOD spikes

Shunyata Triton v3/Typhon QR on source, Denali 2000 (2) on amps
Shunyata Sigma XLR analog ICs, Sigma speaker cables
Shunyata Sigma HC (2), Sigma Analog, Sigma Digital, Z Anaconda (3) power cables

Mapleshade Samson V.3 four shelf solid maple rack, Micropoint brass footers
    Three 20 amp circuits.

Well i usually turn my amp on- listen to it- then shut her down.. This morning at 5:30am i turned it on & let it warm up. Come 7:30/45 i started playing & noticed a difference from what i am use to. It seemed to my ears much warmer. Im not saying im gonna leave it on (dont want heart attack when i see Elec Bill) but id love to leave it on. From now on- im warming it up for 1-2 hours. Great thread  great ideas that have results

To this day B&Ks stuff POPs when you turn it off or switch inputs. Its 100% ok. ( I install and use B&K).

My ST-202 thumps as well when powering down but when powering up it's not really a thump or a pop...kinda in between so I understand what badchad is saying in regards to a "nasty pop". Not really a pop but was odd the first time I heard it and I have also heard as well that these B&K's have that nature.

My Adcom 555 does some WEIRDNESS at shutdown(doesn't matter if the AVR is on or off). So we leave it on. I could probably change out some resistors and solve it. Sounds like you're worried about your tweeters. Do you power up your pre up with ANY forward gain? Try turning the gain all the way down. If it makes no difference, leave it ALL on and turn the gain down when you're done listening.

Amp stays on 24/7 as recommended by manufacturer who put the power switch on the back since it doesn't get used much. Tube linestage gets powered up 1-2 hours before a listening session.

Yup, all B&K amps I've heard pop/thump on ON/OFF; new and old.
