Hello,
I have an old JVC radio with a CD player
I'm not sure of the exact model, but I don't think it's relevant to my question. I currently have a pair of DX series components running off the JVC. I purchased an amp online and have a simple question, but I don't know 100%. I know how to hook up the amp...remote lead, RCAs, speaker wire, power, ground, etc. What I don't know is what to do with the speaker wire coming from the JVC to the crossover. I know which wire it is, but do I just cut it off and tape it or is there something else I need to do? Sorry for my ignorance but thank you in advance for any responses.
Thanks again.

Just disconnect them, tape em up and forget about them. You can pull them out and trash them if you like but I would leave them there. That way if you ever sell your car and want to pull out your speakers and put the old ones back in its a simple hook up.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005
