Just had a woofer in my "The Smaller Advent" die.

    I had an orphan one of those for years, and finally gave the woofer and tweeter away about two years ago. Good luck on that.

    Are you talking about the bookshelf size or can you post a pic? What size is the driver?

    There's someplace online that sells rubber surround replacements, sorry I can't remember who. I replaced the rotted out woofers on a pair, sounds just like they did before.

    If you want to stick with that woofer, there's a guy by me that I've used many times. He re-coned (and re-foamed) an 8" AR-9 upper-mid for me for $60 + tax.

    Well on this one the voice coil is separated from cone and I also believe the magnet is locked up. So would need new used one etc. I was hoping someone had one sitting around as only paid $30 for these speakers originally etc, etc, etc....
