Since totaling my car in January, I took a long break to recover mentally and just chill. Picked up the new wheels today and it just so happens its faster than the last one, go figure.

Nice ride...
I looked at some used (older) Audi's before I got my Grand Cherokee, but three carseats wouldn't make it look quite so badass.2 ChannelTurntable - VPI Classic 2/Ortofon 2M BlueAmplification - Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum II, Parks Audio Budgie PhonoSpeakers - GoldenEar Triton 17.2 Home TheaterDenon AVR-X3300W; Rotel RMB-1066; Klipsch RP-280F's, Klipsch RP-450C, Polk FXi3's, Polk RC60i; Dual SVS PB 2000's; BenQ HT2050; Elite Screens 120"Man CaveTurntable - Pro-Ject 2.9 Wood/Grado GoldAmplification - Dared SL2000a, McCormack DNA 0.5 DeluxeCD: Cambridge AudioSpeakers - Wharfedale Linton 85th Anniversary; LSiM 703; SDA 2A -

LOL...but they'd have to be quick-release harness'. Why didn't you pull some OT on your poorly lit downtown corner , stick with the coupes and go S5?
OR!....spend a couple dollars more and get yourself an R8 but that would mean you'd have to put things in places where they have never been before :-PWhere’s the KABOOM?!?! There’s supposed to be an Earth shattering KABOOM!!! -
Nice, I've always had a soft spot for the S4, but...Automatic? A car like that begs to have a 6-sp manual!!!!
Awe well, at least its a dual clutch auto. For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore... -
The paddles are becoming more common since Tiptronic so I honestly don't miss a stick anymore. It shifts for you even if you floor it so I'm not losing much ground. I'm old so D is looking more and more like a cool letter nowadays. I've always wanted an S4 anyways .baby steps man.
S5 would have depressed me since the A5 is what I totaled and lost so many good parts. Both are B8 chassis and the extra room is fine.
They had a TTRS on the lot and a RS5 .whew those things are fast. We owned a 2008 TTS and while awesome, it was so damn small inside so we took it back and got something else.

Tiptronic rules!!! I want to get myself some steering wheel paddles but for now those little buttons for up and down shift work great, and I would like to race you on some winding twisty roads lol

First, paddles on your car are useless because it shifts so stupidly slow. Second his car has a DCT which is wickedly fast and actually has a use for the paddles.
On top of that it wouldn't be a race, it would be you sitting on your rear end wondering where in the world he went with his 330hp supercharged AWD. Keep dreaming pfb, even a Miata with a manual would outrun you on twisty roads.Main Surround -

Yeah it's crisp for sure. My wife dislikes it but she isn't complaing about speed. I'd
Love to grab an older S8 down the road near retirement but that's a ways off.
Nice ride PFB and that's sounds like some solid track running. I'd like to tighten it up for twisty work like my old A5. Do you get nervous driving after you crashed? and any plans to take your car to the tracks?

Ah. The S line, came dangerous close to an S5 not long ago. Congrats man.

Although considered "girly" in the US, the Miata (or MX5) is quite capable on a track for the money.
Also, having just got his license and first car, somebody with experience would beat him in a Civic.
My UPS driver is an avid Autocrosser and his Miata is badass. He smoked me when I had the A5. Mine was solid and tight on the road, off ramps at high speed, general stuff but it was far from dialed in for the track. I had 21" rims and a ton of suspension adds that actually made it worse on the locals. I was sliding more than cornering and lack of getting to know my vehicle deeply, was really just all me at fault.
It's nice to baseline and at least try and figure out how to trim things up but it was wrecked before I could get some more track time with her. I've been tracking at locals and Summit Point(WV) since the 80's. That doesn't mean I'm a race car driver and every vehicle has nuances. It was overdone with 21" rims and like I said, for the street, awesome, track, N O. I rolled my OEM rims and pulled a couple seconds off my time .painfully obvious then huh?
I didn't feel too bad since some dude in a NEW highly modified Lingenfelter Corvette was a total mess on the track. Best time? Mazda Miata and some Cobra replica that had a door fly off on one the turns .almost losing the passenger. It was hilarious only because he was fine, just scared.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? I was test driving the car and the dude was like, Uhhhh, feel free to open it up here if you want…..I just drove it like an old lady and said Yeah I know what it can do, I'm ok.
On the way home tho'? Let's just say it was certainly opened up.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -

That's actually why I made that comparison. The Miata is just the poor man's Boxster. Handling is great and with a stick shift it's very difficult to beat for the money.Main Surround -

Nice looking with all the bells n whistles. Audi cars ride very comfortable. Enjoy your new ride..

Nice ride. My son likes Audi, but he's just a spring chicken! Then there was the Audi Club of Beijing, which I was amused by during my time there--I couldn't believe there was such a "beast".
Or as my adviser used to kid: We used to say NOTHING in China ever CHANGES, now, it's EVERYTHING in China always CHANGES! lol
On a more sober note. That accident sounds like a bad one. I can see how that would shake you up. Life is short, drive safe.

Yes! Congrats Doro, that is a truly sweet ride. I traded in my 2012 S4 a few months ago, as a 4runner is more practical for home ownership, but I still miss my S4 just about every day.
There isn't toooo much out there that can hang with you. Does that have the 333hp supercharged 6, or did they offer the V8 in 2011? The 6 was the only option available when I purchased my S4.
And there's a guy on the Audi forums that makes a Wire/dongle combo for the ipod plug in in the dash, so you can use that for bluetooth streaming of music if you have an android phone.
Man, that thing is absolutely glued to the road, is insanely fast, and still rides like a champ on long road trips. Enjoy your "gentleman's sports car."2007 Club Polk Football Pool Champ

Ah the S4 sweet ride be careful with her. I like the new Audi Commercial where the Mercedes and Lexus drivers are tossing thier keys into Santa's kettle after seeing the new Audi. I was stationed and then lived in Heilbronn Germany the Audi plant was a mile and a half down the road a sight to see for sure, enjoy the new ride.Home Theater
