Like the title says. Both are $500, I have listen to the Rti and I like them a lot. But can you tell me the high and lows of both, if there is any. Thank you.

RTi's will probably be a little more on the brighter side since they are designed as a Theater Speaker speaker first. (Reference Theater Improved).

What are you going to be using them for? Music or Home Theater?

Can you explain me more about the "brighter side" term? My main use is Home Theater. I have always had bookshelf speakers and want to experience a more robust sound especially with my favorites movies.

I already ask and they don't ship tower speakers to Puerto Rico. And yes is a sweet deal! :p

IMO, the TSX is a hybrid between the Monitor series and the RTi's. I figure the RTi is a step up from the TSX. I'd go for the A7's...........of course I'm a little biased since I already own four A9's.

DSkip pointed out the use of an AVR, the A7's would like some power but shouldn't be a deal breaker, especially if you're mostly H.T.

I say get 'em and consider an amp down the road.

They are sharp sounding on the treble side. Makes for symbols in music having a sharp sssss sound. If you listen to classical music they might not be the best. Rock sound great on mine. That sharp sound is what makes them an awesom theater speaker when bullets are ripping through your living room with glass breaking.

My A9's had that same symptom while just running off of the AVR (135W X 2ch) and driven with 200wpc. But when I upped the power to 300wpc, the "ssss" minimized. That sharpness smoothed out. Right now, I have 860w powering the A9's.........can you feel your hair blowing back?

Geebus Murphy dude...I get the hair blowing back from my A7s with 205 wpc...860 to A9's...holy freaking crap !

What's up Redneck?? Thanks for making me laugh

I had an Emotiva XPA-2/300wpc running my A9's. I found out that you can run them in "bridged" mode and it almost triples the power. So, I got a second one. I have what you might say........unlimited headroom

I want to feel immerse in the music and movies and sometimes I don't with my speakers set up. I'm ok with my subwoofer, but I know that I can look for what I want with pair of towers. Am I correct? :)

I think your AVR would do OK 2ch driving the 'A7s in a small to medium sized room (10' X 15') If you plan to run a sub they'll do better, especially in a larger room. However, as others have posted, they like power particularly quality power.
